Kat Carrido Bonds, Chair
Kat Carrido is a marketing and management professional with deep experience in corporate, independent and community-based creative organizations, specializing in working with diverse communities. In past roles Kat has had the pleasure of concepting, strategizing and implementing campaigns for East West Players Theatre, Warner Bros., Disney, Fox Searchlight, Sony Screen Gems, CodeBlack, FilAm ARTS, Bambu and more. A graduate of UCLA and the Peter F. Drucker and Masatoshi Ito Graduate School of Management, she is passionate about arts and culture as a tool for social change. She is currently the Theatre Manager for the Dept. of Theatre at California State University Northridge (CSUN).
Jennifer J. Santos, Secretary
Jennifer Santos is an Account Manager at MediaCom working with various clients such as Universal Music Group developing marketing initiatives for various music artists all labels. She was a former Co-Director of Programming for FilAm ARTS. Jennifer was born and raised in Buena Park, CA and graduated from Cal State Long Beach.
Eileen McCremens, Vice Chair
Eileen McCremens is a Program Manger for nuCourse Distribution in Garden Grove. She was born in San Pedro and grew up all over Southern California. After graduating in Computer Science from CSULB, she moved on to work for American Apparel for 7 years in IT, Warehouse Operations, and Inventory Control. She continued her education by earning certifications in Event/Meeting Planning and as a Six Sigma Green Belt. An avid volunteer throughout LA and Orange counties, her main causes are arts and culture, children/education, health, animal welfare, and the environment. She currently resides in Echo Park.
Melany De La Cruz – Viesca
UCLA Asian American Studies
Melany De La Cruz-Viesca is the Assistant Director of the UCLA Asian American Studies Center and the Managing Editor of AAPI Nexus, a nationwide journal focusing on Asian Pacific Islander policy. Holding a Masters in Urban Planning from UCLA, Melany currently sits on the City of Los Angeles Human Relations Commission.
Artist and Curator
Alfie Ebojo is a Los Angeles-based multidisciplinary artist, freelance graphic designer, curator and an arts advocate. She has been featured at various exhibits and shows in Los Angeles, Brooklyn, Honolulu, San Diego, San Francisco, Chicago, and Edinburgh, Scotland, and her work is on display in Los Angeles at the Crewest Gallery, Hive Gallery, and Thumbprint Gallery. Alfie also curates and produces art shows, leads workshops, and is a vocal proponent for art as a catalyst for social change.
Aris Tagle, Treasurer
Aris Tagle is the director of online marketing analytics at Guthy-Renker, a leading direct response marketing firm in Santa Monica. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from UCLA, and an MBA from Yale University School of Management. Tagle also sits on the board of directors of the UCLA Alumni Association, and is an active member and past chair of the Pilipino Alumni Asso-ciation (PAA) of UCLA.
Hon. Casimiro U. Tolentino
State of California
Hon. Casimiro Tolentino has been a California State Law Judge since 1992. Judge Tolentino has co-founded Visual Communications, the Philippine American Bar Association and is on the board of the Asian Pacific American Legal Center. He is currently the Vice President of the City of L.A. Fire Commission. A former attorney for the Writers Guild of America West and Embassy Television, he also served as President of the City of L.A. Civil Service Commission.
Winston F. Emano
mano Y mano Media
Winston Emano is a principal of mano Y mano Media, a full spectrummedia consultancy and micro studio producing exclusive content for broadcast networks/new media on five continents. A specialist in film, he has represented more than 100 films for film festival, awards and theatrical release campaigns and is a sought-after media trainer for filmmakers and professional athletes alike. A William Paley Scholar at the famed SI Newhouse School at Syracuse University, he serves on the Academy Awards Host and IDA Awards Screening Committees and is a founding board director and Chair Emeritus for FilAm ARTS.
