ASIANS FOR MIRACLE MARROW MATCHES

A3M’s mission is to improve the health and welfare of all people by providing education, assistance, and facilitating prompt access to potential marrow and blood cell donors.We work toward this mission by coordinating donor recruitment drives, offering patient support services, and providing resources for patients and donors.


BALAGTASAN COLLECTIVE

Balagtasan Collective is a group of activists, artists, and organizers whose love and dedication to their communities allows them to come together and create art as a catalyst for social change. “Cultivating community and art for social justice!”


CULINARY CONSULTATIONS, LLC

Chef Cecilia M. De Castro has a long and distinguished career in the culinary arts industry, spanning over 20 years. She currently serves as a culinary producer for the Emmy Award winning Wolfgang Puck Show on the Food Network. It was Ms. De Castro’s ideas and efforts that brought the first ever celebration of Culinary Arts to FPAC!


DIVERSIFIED SERVICES FOR YOUTH & SENIORS

Diversified Services is an organization that offers low-income residents diverse programs ranging from learning construction trades and educational tutoring programs, to classes in multi-cultural dancing and gardening. Our diversified offerings provide individuals with valuable skills that will enable them to increase their earning potential while enriching their quality of life.


FILIPINO AMERICAN NATIONAL HISTORICAL SOCIETY - LOS ANGELES (FAHNS-LA)

“To promote understanding, education, enlightenment, appreciation, and enrichment through the identification, gathering, preservation and dissemination of the history and culture of Filipino Americans in the United States.”


FILIPINO AMERICAN LIBRARY

The mission of the Filipino American Heritage Institute is to actively promote the history, culture and professional achievements of Filipino Americans through educational and cultural programming thereby contributing to the development of a culturally dynamic multiethnic America.


FILIPINO AMERICAN NETWORK (FAN)

The “Filipino American Network” [FAN] is a nonprofit, non-partisan community based organization that provides young professional members of the Filipino American Community an opportunity to combine their knowledge, experiences and expertise to establish a base for Filipino American entrepreneurs and professionals.


FILIPINO AMERICAN SERVICE GROUP, INC.

To empower Filipino Americans and others through culturally and linguistically sensitive advocacy, education, social services, social action, research and leadership that are also gender- and ageappropriate, the Filipino American Service Group, Inc. is a community based nonprofit social service agency incorporated in 1981.


KABABAYAN ALUMNI CHAPTER

Founded by past officers of the student organization with the same name, Kababayan is the Pilipino alumni chapter that supports current students through scholarships and promoting Pilipino Culture Night (PCN). Kabataang maka-Bayan USA Pro-People Youth a comprehensive National Democratic youth organization that educates, organizes and mobilizes to create systemic change. KAPISANANG MANDIRIGMA

Kapisanang Mandirigma is a cultural research organization that always strives to do work to honor to the achievements of our ancestors through the practice, preservation, and propagation of the ancient Warrior Arts of the Philippines, known as Kali, Eskrima or Arnis.


LEADERSHIP EDUCATION FOR ASIAN PACIFICS, INC. (LEAP)

LEAP’s mission is to achieve full participation and equality for Asian Pacific Americans through leadership, empowerment, and policy. A national, nonprofit organization, LEAP works to achieve its mission by: Developing people, because leaders are made, not born; Informing society, because leaders know the issues; and Empowering communities, because leaders are grounded in strong, vibrant communities.


THE PEN ROSENTHAL EMERGING VOICES FELLOWSHIPS

The PEN Rosenthal Emerging Voices Fellowships are offered annually. Six to ten Fellows are selected each year. More information about the program can be found at www.penusa.org. The 2007 cycle is currently closed, but the 2008 applications will be available next spring, around May.


PEOPLE’S COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION FOR REFORM AND EMPOWERMENT (PEOPLE’S CORE)

People’s CORE is a private non-profit org that meets the needs of the people by providing them with eanization formed by community organizers and activists in 1996. It is committed to mobilizing towards a society that is self-sustaining, locally controlled andducation, housing and fulfilling employment with livable wages and social justice.


PHILIPPINE NURSES ASSOCIATION OF SOUTHERN CA

The purpose of the Philippine Nurses Association of America is to provide an organization that will uphold the image and foster the welfare of the Philippine Nurses in the United States as a professional.


PILIPINO WORKERS’ CENTER

PWC organizes Filipino workers to collectively address our needs and issues both in the community and in the workplace. PWC was founded in 1997 on the idea that all workers have a right to safe working conditions, living wages, a decent standard of living and quality of life.

SEARCH TO INVOLVE PILIPINO AMERICANS (SIPA)

SIPA’s mission is to enhance the quality of life of Filipino Americans and other communities through youth development, health, economic, and social services. SIPA also develops affordable housing and other projects that promote cultural identity, economic stability, self-sufficiency, and civic participation.


STACKS VINYL

“STACKS”—The Vinyl Authority, is a record retailer and Hip-Hop educational center headquartered in Cerritos, CA (a suburb of Los Angeles) & Lemon Grove, CA (a suburb of San Diego), founded by DJ Icy Ice of The Beat Junkies.


TDRZ PRODUCTIONS

One of the missions of TDRZ Productions, Inc., is to promote, present and produce the talents of Filipino and Filipino-American performers in all creative entertainment genres—theater, film, video, CD and live performance.


TUESDAY NIGHTS CAFÉ PROJECTS

Tuesday Night Cafe Projects presents a LIVE!, bimonthly, multi-disciplinary venue for API as well as local emerging artistry who are all together elevating the scene of cultural production in Los Angeles. Hosted outside at the Union Center for the Arts,Tuesday Nights is dedicated to building community through art and strives to support revitalization efforts in Downtown L.A. every 1st and 3rd Tuesday, from spring to fall.


TRIBAL CAFÉ

Welcome to Historic Filipinotown’s home coffee, culture and community. Joshua Jose, the owner, and his artist friends who helped out with the café’s construction, are happy to see that the café is slowly but surely developing as a community café and not just another big corporation “café branch.”


USC TROY PHI

Troy Philippines is a student run organization that educates USC Students about the Filipino culture. This is done by our weekly Thursday meetings, our dancing, our community service, and our interaction with other Filipino organizations around the nation. Moreover,Troy Phi members are able to learn other cultures through our mixers with other cultural clubs on campus, such as the Hawaii Club.


VISUAL COMMUNICATIONS

Visual Communications is the nation’s premiere Asian Pacific American center for media arts and producer of VCFilmFest—the largest festival of APA films. The mission of VC is to promote intercultural understanding through the creation, presentation, preservation and support of media works by and about Asian Pacific Americans.
