FPAC SENIORS VILLAGE
FPAC Seniors Village What could be more Filipino than vegetables and other foods that nourish the Filipino Americans’ soul? Again, the Festival celebrates the community and individual gardens fertile with the seeds of the ampalaya (bitter melon), kalabasa (Japanese pumpkin), talong (eggplant), sitaw (Chinese long bean), patola (luffa), and upo (bottle gourd). Tales of giant vegetables from all over the Southland inspired this friendly competition and exhibition. The popular Pinoy penchant for gardening will allow those to show off their best harvesting skills at the spirited 7th Annual Filipino Vegetable Competition.
