Begun in San Diego in 1997 by a group of brothers, Abolos Pros wanted to go beyond the typical singing and dancing routines they saw at various family gatherings. Described as a mix of comedic sketch humor, urban dance, Olympic gymnastics and twisted performance art, Abalos Pros are a high-energy comedy dance troupe with a ‘jurrasik’ twist that simply cannot be expressed in words but must be experienced live.

ABRAKADABRA

It may seem like déjà vu from the ‘80’s, but much to the delight of their fans, Abrakadabra’s founding musicians have reunited, performing and recording once again. Well known in the South Bay communities here, for its driving propulsive Latin jazz/pop rhythms, this band boasts a library of 50+ original compositions. Back on track and ready for live gigs, Abrakadabra looks forward to sharing its musical magic once again.

The BIBAK Dance Ensemble is a non-profit organization which aims to preserve, promote and perpetuate the Igorot/Cordilleran arts of Northern Philippines, through authentic presentations, workshops and cultural education projects. Other programs include youth outreach, archiving and recording. The core performers of the ensemble are youth and young adults.

BUHAY NA KASAYSAYAN HISTORICAL SOCIETY

The Buhay Na Kasaysayan Historical Society is a Filipino - American organization that aims to propagate historical and cultural awareness about the Philippines within around other cultures. The group holds realistic re-enacments of significant events in Philippine history such as the Declaration of Independence, Rizal's execution and the Fall of Bataan. Membership to the organization is currently open.

CARSON SENIOR DANCE TROUPE

The Senior Dance Troupe of Carson, is a fun loving and dedicated group of Seniors that helps promote the cultural heritage of the Philippine, providing free dance lessons and performances as far as San Bernardino and San Diego. We have the authentic dancers and music of the Mountain provinces, the Lowlands, the Southern Philippines and the Hispanic influenced dances. We have been performing for more than 12 years in a row at the Festival of the Philippines Arts and Culture. Anybody who's interested to join is always welcome.

Elements of the Outer Realm has performed all over California including the 2003 Lollapalooza Music Festival . Blender Magazine and Streetwise.com named them the “Street Fight ‘Ultimate Band Challenge' Hip-Hop Champion”. They have also been featured on the World Famous KROQ (106.7 FM) as Jed the Fish's Catch of the Day.

IBU is a multi-awarded R&B group from Chicago. Their accolades include winning the state-sponsored 2003 Chicago Music Opportunity Project and the 2004 New York International Music Festival, the first and only Asian-American group to ever win the award. The group performed the National Anthem at eight White Sox Games in 2005.

Founded in 1998 by Guros Bud Balani, Dino Flores, Arnold Noche and Hans Tan from Lameco SOG, this "Federation of Warriors" has an ever-growing but extremely selective membership representing numerous progressive fighting styles. The ideas that interchange creating a dynamic foundation for continuously keeping the Philippine Combat Arts alive with integrity.

Next Phaze is an R&B vocal group originally from the Bay Area. Carlo, Del, Chris, and Rich have performed together for the last 6 years all over the US, exciting crowds with their smooth harmonies and powerful vocals. They’ve showcased their talents in front of 1000’s at venues like the Rosebowl in Pasadena and the Cow Palace in San Francisco.

PAKARAGUIAN KULINTANG ENSEMBLE

the Pakaraguian Kilingtang Ensemble of Southern California performs traditional Mindanao kilingtang music and dances from the Maranao, Maguindanao, and Tausug tribes. Pakaraguian is the Maguindanao word for celebration of music and dance. Kulingtang music is traditionally played during festive occasions. Members of the group are Raynard Abalos, Eric Abutin, Melody Batuyong, Michelle Camaya, Peter Paul De Guzman, Nada Dela Torre, Bernard Ellorin, Chris Feraro, Eleanor Lipat, Nickki Martin, Richard Pastor, Christine Quidim, and Mari Talusan.

Stephanie just finished "The Journey" at the Herbst Theater (San Francisco) and will be doing "the passion of the wine" in Russia and Malaysia this fall. She will be performing her one woman show, "the journey" for the beneficiaries of Gawad Kalinga in Naga City, Philippines as well as five-city tour of "The Journey" next year with Philippine News.

Rondalla Club of Los Angeles (RCLA) was formed in 1991 in Los Angeles through the efforts of the late Nitoy Gonzales, former Rondalla maestro of the famed Bayanihan Dance Troupe from the Philippines, Leonilo "Boy" Angos, also a former member of Bayanihan, son of Nitoy Gonzales, and Tagumpay "Pi" M. de Leon, son of the late Philippine composer and national artist, Felipe Padilla de Leon. Since its inception, RCLA has remained active in various Filipino social and civic functions and is recognized as one of the leading rondallas in southern California. It has been a familiar fixture in Pilipino Cultural Nights (PCN) held in different universities, colleges and high schools. RCLA has also provided musical accompaniment for many folk arts concerts including, among numerous others, Kayamanan ng Lahis Decade of Discovery concert where "[RCLA] drenched the air with intricate and intoxicating melodies." -- LA Times, April 2000.

Freda Simone born & raised in Oxnard, California, Her mother Andresa from Leyte & father Fred from Lawag, Philippines. Freda is # 7 out of 8 children, music was always around the house. She's a 2 time Apollo winner in New York & nominated for a November 2006 Los Angeles Music Awards for singer/writer for "Still Love You". She will be releasing her new cd entitled "Its My Life" November 2006.

SKCAFI, Sining Kambayoka Cultural Arts Foundation, Inc is a non-proft Public Benefit Corporation whose mission is to build cultural bridges between the Philippines and United States of America among the Filipino-American community and fill cultural gaps through the arts and culture. Sining Kabayoka promotes the ethnic arts and culture to a wider audience who do not have access to the arts and culture of the Southern Philippines.

Tinig, which means “voice” in Tagalog, is a student-run, Pilipino-American Chorale Group at UCLA. Tinig has performed in numerous venues, including the Filipino American Library Gala at the Milennium Biltmore Hotel, the Festival of Philippine Arts and Culture, the Los Angeles Premiere of the movie “Mga Munting Tinig,” and UCLA's Spring Sing. We hold no auditions and invite all current UCLA students who have a passion and love for singing.
