WELCOME TO FPAC!
WELCOME TO THE 15 years? 15 years! WELCOME . . . to your tradition; to our decade and half celebration, this edition brought to you by over 50 volunteer Festival Builders and Organizers, 400 Volunteers, 1200 artists and 85 Exhibitors. This year’s theme Diwang Sumisikat : Spirit Rising, is a celebration of the vibrant Filipino spirit present in our artistic expression and culture: our spirit as a community shines brighter and sings louder and clearer each day. However, as FPAC has grown for the better, the financial climate supporting arts and culture from public monies in California has changed for the worse, and the very livelihood of the Festival and other community-based arts is at stake. Now more than ever as a community your support is vital in keeping FilAm ARTS’ efforts to sustain these valuable community programs and grow a vibrant place for Filipino American arts and culture here in Southern California. Through the arts we have brought together more Filipinos than any other non-profit in Southern California. In 15 years, FPAC has grown to become the largest annual community-wide Filipino tradition in the region. We encourage you to explore the Festival, shop, eat, enjoy the cooking demonstrations, talk with the artists and participate in workshops.Together we can continue our important community tradition.
